If you expand the product details it says it's actually basswood. The finish appears to be some sort of plastic laminate. It does cut well but the title is misleading

The basswood sheets are packaged in a beautifully presented box. The quality of the wood is superb (I use it on my recently purchased Creality Falcon A1 laser cutter/engraver). My only gripe would be the price....quite expensive, in my opinion.

A suggestion would be for Creality to reduce/eliminate their packaging of basswood. It's not required. Most crafters will remove and trash the box.

Otherwise I'm very happy with the basswood sheets.
